Cashiers, north carolina store: NOW OPEN!

We are thrilled to announce that our Cashiers, North Carolina storefront is finished and open for business!  We are currently booking summer and fall weddings for 2016 and our retail space is open 7 days/week.  Cream & Flutter can provide tiered cakes, single layer cakes, and dessert tables for weddings, rehearsal dinners, and welcome parties.  We also offer delicious and customizable wedding favors and welcome bags for events of all sizes!  We love working with brides and are honored to be booking clients at some amazing Highlands and Cashiers venues, such as Old Edwards Inn & Spa, Lonesome Valley, Sawyer Family Farmstead, Chattooga Club, High Hampton Inn, and more!

Our goal is to provide you the most beautiful and delicious desserts with friendly, approachable, and attentive customer service.  Please contact our Cashiers Bridal Designer and store owner, Amanda, directly to discuss your event and to schedule a tasting.  She can be reached at amanda@creamandflutter.com.  

We also offer a variety of cupcakes, cakes, brownies, cookies, french macarons, boutique candies, and super premium ice cream pints for sale daily in our retail space.  The menu for the Cashiers location will be adapted for this seasonal market and will be updated online as changes are made.  Also look out for our pop-up shop brand, "Buttermilk by Cream & Flutter" to bring you amazing breakfast pastries such as buttermilk biscuits, scones, gooey cinnamon rolls, and flaky croissants in our shop on the weekends during the season.

Our hours will likely change throughout the season.  But for the weeks of November 28, December 5, December 12, and December 19, our hours will be as follows:

  • Monday-Wednesday: ORDERS ONLY, please call or stop by to place or pick up an order.
  • Thursday-Saturday from 10AM-5PM
  • Sunday: CLOSED

Downtown Champaign Store Hours

Find us at 114 North Walnut Street, across the street from Sam's Cafe and Bacaro Wine Lounge. Stop by for drinks and desserts any time during our open hours:

  • Monday-Thursday from 11am to 9pm
  • Friday-Saturday from 11am to 10pm
  • Sunday from 1-8pm

If you are looking to speak with someone about a bridal or custom order, please keep in mind that we do not always have a consultant present. Our consultants come in on an appointment basis, so please give us a call or use one of our website's forms first to make sure we can save you the trouble of an extra trip.

We have plenty of seating, but do appreciate advanced notice if you are wanting to bring a larger party (10+). Advance notice and a space rental payment is required for a birthday party, shower, or other larger event held in the space.

About Cream & Flutter

The Cream & Flutter brand was born out of a love for delicious, handcrafted pastries.  We believe you can taste the difference when we bake from scratch with ingredients made for the finest patisseries in the world.  And we know you can see the difference when our professional designers create edible art which will surely impress your wedding and party guests. What we produce at Cream & Flutter takes careful, consistent attention to detail, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.  

Superior quality is our baseline.  You won’t find anything artificial in our products — just extensively tested recipes produced with pure ingredients.  We source fresh, local cream and eggs and whip them up with rich European-style butter.  We chop whole nuts, dried figs, and made-from-scratch toffee for our cookies.  Our buttercream frosting recipes are created using fresh fruit purees, melted chocolates, fragrant, unadulterated extracts and fruit oils, raw, unfiltered honey, fancy liqueurs, and authentic Italian nut pastes.  We sprinkle real sea salt flakes on our homemade caramel, and we soak whole lavender flowers for our floral cake batters.  Many of our chocolates and toppings come directly from France, including dark cocoa powder and chocolate couverture, silky white chocolate, dark and white chocolate sprinkles, candied lemon peels, and a coffee syrup produced in France since 1845.  We also stock many of the same brand names that you trust in your own home: Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Skippy Natural Peanut Butter, Oreo Cookie Crumbles, and Quaker Old Fashioned Oats.  

Many people ask about our name and can easily guess that “Cream” is meant to represent tactile elements, such as flavors, textures, colors, and forms.  But Cream & Flutter is about more than just products. It is about experiences.  “Flutter” is the ethereal component to our brand experience, encompassing intangibles like ideas, relationships, and discovery.  We hope your visit to Cream & Flutter delights and inspires you.

Our Team

The Cream & Flutter team is comprised of young, energetic, and hard-working individuals with a passion for food, design, and the local community.  We do not require any formal training to work at Cream & Flutter, but instead, provide opportunities for growth based on performance and a commitment to the brand.

We are a growing business with opportunities in both pastry arts and customer service. At any given time, we may or may not have openings for our kitchen or customer service staff.
